Thank you
Throughout this project we have had lots of support from different groups and people and without them this project would not be possible and we would like to express our most sincere gratitude. We are thankful for having had the opportunity to work with local exotic invasive species experts Meral Jackson and Jill Fisher who taught us about invasive species and enabled us to help with an ongoing case study of Japanese Knotweed in our area. Secondly, we would like to thank WLUC TV 6 News (specifically Sarah Blakely) for covering our story. Thirdly, we would like to thank Tadych's Econo Foods for donating plastic bags to package our tree seedlings. Next, we'd like to thank fourth and fifth grade teachers at the Houghton Elementary School for letting us come in and help educate their students about invasive species awareness. We appreciate the time given by each of the following organizations which allowed our team to present: Houghton Portage Township School Board, Century 21 of Houghton, Michigan Department of Transporation, and Michigan State University Extension. Last but not least, we would like to thank Mrs. Geborkoff for being so supportive of our ideas and organizing our field trips.
